"GlanzGlück" – Unique Latex Fashion from Vienna

„GLANZGLÜCK“ aus Wien, das ist Sandra Puppitz die Koryphäe wenn es um Einzelanfertigungen geht. Glänzend und bunt, so sind ihre Unikate. Steampunk, Accessoires und Extravaganz – das ist

„GlanzGlück“. „Ich will das Rad nicht neu erfinden, aber ich will wiedererkannt werden“, verrät sie mir in ihrem sympathischen Wiener Schmäh. Puppi, wie sie auch genannt wird, sieht ihre Mode eher nicht im Alltag, sondern zu besonderen Anlässen.
Einen solchen Anlass habe ich für unseren letzten „Fashion Run“ zusammen mit der legänderen Chrissie Seams  genommen. Dabei habe ich mir ein Latex Ripe Skirt von „GlanzGlück“, eine Art Reifrock, umgeschnallt und den „Black Swan“ neu insziert. Chrissie war als Catwoman, inspiriert durch Michael Jacksons „Thriller“, mit an Bord einer gescheiten Münchener Rikscha mit viel Led-Technik und dem motivierten Falk von Rikscha Muc.
Bei diesem „Style Ride“, wir wir ihn mittlerweile nennen, tauchen wir immer wieder in Münchens Nachtleben ab und machen auf die Avantgardista aufmerksam. Outfit und Auffallen ist alles bei dieser Aktion. Lauter „Oldschool Techno“ dröhnt dann aus den Lautsprechern und wir stehen schnell im Mittelpunkt.
Am Marienplatz wurden wir gefeiert wie die Stars und viele Touristen wollten unbedingt ein Selfie mit uns als Erinnerung an eine ungewöhnliche Begegnung.  Am Gärtnerplatz, mit einem ganz anderen Publikum, wurden uns die Flyer quasi aus der Hand gerissen und immer wieder kam die Frage auf: „Was sind das denn für abgefahrene Outfits?“
Sandras Stil ist nicht auf den klassichen Latexlook ausgelegt, sondern sie beschreibt ihn als „Punky, wild, laut und frech!“ „Die Leute sollen ein Outfit sehen, wo auch immer, und sagen können: Eindeutig „GlanzGlück“, so die Designerin.
Eine fundierte Grundausbildung bei „SIMON O.“

Die Wienerin war sechs Jahre bei „SIMON O.“ in der Fertigung angestellt, hat dort viele Basics gelernt, doch wollte sie immer schon ihr eigenes Ding machen. Auch die drei Jahre bei „Latex4you“ haben sie um einige Kniffe bereichert, trotzdem stand Fashion schon damals für sie im Vordergrund, weshalb „GlanzGlück“ einfach entstehen musste.

Viel möchte Puppi nicht verraten, aber in einer Sache wird sie sich abheben und die männliche Welt darf sich freuen: Es wird auch eine reine Männerkollektion geben.
Auf einen Shop können wir uns zudem freuen, wobei ich besonders auf Puppis  besondere Handtaschen aus Latex in ganz unterschiedlichen Stilen gespannt bin. Es wird für jeden etwas dabei sein.
„Ich war schon 2017 dabei und fand die Idee damals großartig. Schon aufgrund dessen, dass ich die Veranstalter persönlich schon lange kenne, weiß ich dass ihre Events immer grossartig sind“, fiebert Sandra der Avantgardista entgegen. Allerdings nimmt sie sich für die jetzige Fashionshow vor, viel weniger aufgeregt zu sein.
Vor der Avantgardista hat die Designerin allerdings noch ein persönliches Highlight. Sie eröffnet ihren neuen Shop in Wien am 25.08.2018 und ist Stolz wie Oskar.
Extravaganz und Punk
Mir stechen an Puppis Design sofort die Military Elemente, die mich persönlich an „Tankgirl“ erinnern, ins Auge. „Tankgirl“ ist unglaublich cool und stark in ihrem Charakter, trotzdem auch weiblich und frech. Alles gepaart mit viel Farbe und Energie. Auch eine Assoziation mit „London Punk“ kommt mir in den Sinn, wenn ich über die Männerkollektion blicke. Sogar ein Brautkleid aus weißem Latex hat Sandra Puppitz entworfen.

„GlanzGlück“ – Unique Latex Fashion from Vienna

„GlanzGlück“ from Vienna: Sandra Puppitz is the expert when it comes to custom-made products. Shiny and colourful, these are their unique pieces. Steampunk, accessories and extravagance – that is „GlanzGlück“. „I don’t want to reinvent the wheel, but I want to be recognized,“ she tells me in her sympathetic „Viennese Schmäh“. Puppi, as she is also known, does not see her fashion in everyday life, but on special occasions.
I took such an occasion for our last „Fashion Run“ together with the legendary Chrissie Seams I put on a latex ripe skirt from „GlanzGlück“, a kind of hoop skirt, and reinvented the „Black Swan“. Chrissie was a catwoman, inspired by Michael Jackson’s „Thriller“, on board a clever Munich rikscha with lots of Led technology and the motivated falk of Rikscha Muc.
With this „Style Ride“, as we now call it, we dive into Munich’s nightlife and draw attention to the Avantgardista. Outfit and attention is everything in this action. All of „Oldschool Techno“ then roars out of the loudspeakers and we quickly become the centre of attention.

At Marienplatz we were celebrated like stars and many tourists absolutely wanted a selfie with us as a memory of an unusual encounter. At Gärtnerplatz, with a completely different clientele, the flyers were torn out of our hands and again and again the question arose: „What are these wicked outfits?“
Sandra’s style is not designed for the classic latex look, but describes it as „Punky, wild, loud and cheeky“! „I want people to see an outfit wherever they go and say: Clearly „GlanzGlück“, according to the designer.

The Viennese was employed in production at „SIMON O.“ for six years, where she learned many basics, but she always wanted to do her own thing. She also enriched the three years at „Latex4you“ with some tricks, but fashion was already in the foreground for her at that time, which is why „GlanzGlück“ simply had to be created.

Puppi doesn’t want to reveal much, but in one thing she will stand out and the male world can be happy: There will also be a pure men’s collection.
We can also look forward to a shop, whereby I am especially curious about Puppi’s special handbags made of latex in very different styles. There will be something for everyone.
„I was there in 2017 and I thought it was a great idea back then. Because I have known the organisers personally for a long time, I know that their events are always great“, says Sandra, eagerly awaiting the Avantgardista. However, for the current fashion show, she plans to be much less excited.
Before the Avantgardista, however, the designer still has a personal highlight. She opens her new shop in Vienna on 25.08.2018 and she beams with pride.
Extravagance and Punk
These military elements, which remind me personally of „Tankgirl“, immediately catch my eye at Puppi’s design. „Tankgirl“ is incredibly cool and strong in her character, yet also female and cheeky. Everything paired with a lot of colour and energy. An association with „London Punk“ comes to my mind  when I look at the men’s collection. Sandra Puppitz even designed a wedding dress made of white latex.
